INTRODUCTION
Shanghai Global Electric co., Ltd., founded in 1990s, was located in Wenzhou, which is known as China’s low voltage electrical capital. It is a professional enterprise combining Research, Development, Manufacturing and Trading together, and it is specialized in energy meters, digital meters, panel meters, sensors, smart circuit breakers and other low-voltage distribution electrical products. It takes up a total area of 9,500 mm² and has over 200 employees.
Shanghai Global Electric co., Ltd., has resourceful sales network. It currently has over 200 agents in China, meantime, its products exported to Southeast Asia, Middle East, South America, Africa, Europe and many other overseas markets.
With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the convenience and intelligence of products became the development leading direction. In recent years, the company has developed many kinds of smart meters, smart MCB, and other latest Internet smart products.

Meter Factory established, funded by the State
1980
It becomes a private enterprise, mainly engaged in metering products.
1999
Chaorong Electric wholly-owned acquisition of Shanghai Global Meter Factory.
2011
It developed other LV electrical products.
It was renamed Shanghai Global Electric Co., Ltd.
2015
We set up a global sales network, built branches and agents all over China and world.
2016
Improved the smart meter loT system and launched a series of new smart energy meters and water meters with different encryption methods.
2017
We have developed smart MCB, also obtained STS certification.
2018
The electricity meter data collection system we developed was applied into many restaurant chains. We also obtained smart meters DLMS certification.
2019
Our new digitalized factory is put into use.
